Brian & Deya met in Vancouver Canada. After a few years together we were married and made choices. One was not to have children the other was not to take life for granted. The rest is yet to come.

Visiting Home!!!

The highlight of our last few months in this life was our trip back home, yes… back home!!!
We had a blast going back in the middle of Winter like we never did before. Living in Canada isn’t easy (I can testify about it) and it is not until recent years that I can appreciate better the weather in any place I am in. Of course, hot climates tend to be easier in the bones but let me tell you that my hair reacts better to the North, meaning it feels good and I can do something with it.

Anyway, I enjoyed the snow, I enjoyed the people, I enjoyed the challenge and I enjoyed working hard to get to the end goal… living in both countries, being around all the people we love in both countries and exploring life to the fullest in any aspect from personal to professional to the bigger picture, whatever that maybe.

In other aspects:
-Our volunteering efforts will continue with Hogar Nueva Vida and Global Sorority and as we approach the middle of the year we will present to you some outcomes of projects that we are working on with both organizations. And as reminder, if you ever feel like volunteering/donating and would like to inquiry about what we do with these organization please send me an email. The community needs us and we need the community!!!

-Brian concluded a piece of the puzzle towards his personal and professional development and I personally enjoyed very much the time we spent in school. Brian’s classmates are fantastic individuals and I had a lot of fun with them; I was amazed about how these people know how to have fun providing with a safe environment, one where everyone enjoyed but everyone respected each other… besides the food being shared at moments, the conversations, the music and definitely the dancing. I just want to go back!!! I want to see you all again.
Thanks to Tim and Loretta who shared their personal spaces with us. You both cook very good food. Tim, you and your family are awesome!!!

Congratulations Brian for staying focus and doing great during this learning opportunity. In case you don’t know it: my husband is brilliant!!!

-Despite the injuries I suffered in my feet from all the walking and not having the proper shoes (please don’t ask why), I was able to enjoy the walks and for those who were very considerate and lovely and provided us with some rides I thank you very much. If you know me you know for sure I like walking but this time my feet were injured :(
Thanks to all our friends who made the time to see us, we appreciated every second of your time. Special thanks to the Grovers and the Brittains who go out of their way to support our efforts and help us to grow and achieve our goals. We can feel the love and hope to be of support at some point in life.

-Going back to Mexico was a bit of a hassle because our flights were delayed and we were loaded with luggage and heavy books. But nevertheless a great opportunity to catch up, follow up with our projects, get into the heart of Merida and find the right people to socialize with in Merida. I have to say that so far (in Yucatan) we have met wonderful people from all over the world and from Yucatan as well; we have not met too many people but enough to make our life better and inspire us…

-Cancun welcomed us with a bunch of sales people-

-Thanks supportive friends-

-Who is this beauty? Our spayed friend…-

Lastly, I want to let you know that the doors of our house in Merida are open and although during the Summer (April-August) the weather is extremely hot, you may consider heat a good idea Vs. cold…

The best for all of you, I wish we cross paths somehow/somewhere…
