Blog update 2013

Back from Alberta where we spent Christmas having fun with our families. I hope you all had a good time and that 2013 will provide what you are seeking for. The pictures will describe what Christmas was about for us ;)








Okay folks, we are in the set up phase of our next two years. I’ll describe where we are at and what to expect from us over the next two years. First, I’m now engaged in a Master Program at Royal Roads University and so I’ll be focussing on that. It involves a lot of reading and writing, journaling, blogging, etc. So for that reason I’m going to temporarily ask Deya to write updates to my blog until I can get a grasp on my workload.

We will be moving to Yucatan in Mexico and working on renovating our home there. There we will stay for some time and for sure return to Victoria for my MA On campus Residency for two weeks in February 2014. After that we may return to Mexico or remain in Canada and seek work in preparation for our Smithers’ project and to start lining up the European and Chinese tours for around 2015-16. We are looking to make these two tours even more interesting than the last, having some street credibility and more experience.

We hope to have more opportunities to visit with people and explore the areas of Guatemala, Belize, Cuba, and the Yucatan peninsula while in the beautiful city of Merida. We hope to be able to demonstrate the safety and beauty of these areas in more depth than the first time we passed through.
